Our Pediatric Dentistry Services

HYGIENE VISITS

Hygiene visits are routine dental procedures where we remove accumulated plaque and tartar from your child's teeth to prevent cavities, gum disease, and bad breath.

During a cleaning, the hygienist uses special tools to scrape away bacteria, then polishes the teeth to remove surface stains and smooth the enamel.

Sealants

Dental sealants are tooth-colored plastic coatings that we apply to the chewing surfaces of your child's back teeth, known as molars and premolars. They act as a protective barrier by sealing off the deep grooves where food particles and bacteria can easily get trapped.

Applying sealants is a painless procedure that involves cleaning the tooth surface, drying it, and then painting on the sealant material, which is then hardened with a special light.

Fluoride Treatments

Fluoride treatments involve placing fluoride over the teeth to strengthen the enamel and stop tooth decay. Fluoride remineralizes the enamel and makes your smile more resistant to attacks from acidic foods and bacteria.

Our dentist applies fluoride gel to the teeth using a brush, swab, or tray. Then, they leave fluoride on the teeth for a few minutes to allow it to penetrate the enamel before rinsing it off.

Orthodontics

Orthodontics aims at correcting misaligned teeth and jaws. Its treatments improve the appearance and function of your child's teeth and prevent dental issues like tooth decay, gum disease, and jaw pain.

We offer different orthodontic treatments, including:

  • Metal braces
  • Invisalign®
  • Palatal Expander Devices (PED)
  • Retainers
  • Surgical and craniofacial orthodontics

When Should I Schedule My Child's First Dentist Visit?

We recommend scheduling your child's first dentist visit by their first birthday or within six months of the eruption of their first tooth. During their early dental visits to our office, we'll help them learn good oral hygiene habits and monitor their dental development.

How to Care for Your Children's Oral Health at Home

  • Brush their teeth twice or three times a day with fluoride toothpaste
  • Floss between your child's teeth daily
  • Limit sugary snacks and drinks
  • Encourage drinking water and eating healthy foods
